It has been said that,"Once upon a time...every cowboy knew the secrets to tying their own rope halters".
Holding to this tradition, "Knot-Heads" ties halters the same way as those cowboys in years gone by, the only
difference being the rope itself. At Knot-Heads we use only the finest quality nylon double-braid rope, the same choice
as many professional horse trainers are using today. Our rope halters are light, flexible, strong, rot-resistent and washable.
Our halters are unbeatable for price and quality. So bear in mind, that when you purchase a halter from Knot-Heads,
you are getting a premium quality halter for much less than you would pay for an inferior halter in most tack shops.
Not only economical, a hand-tied rope halter is an excellent training tool.
They aid in teaching your horse to yield to pressure, offering the "live" feel that only this type of rope can give.
Web or leather halters allow the horse to lean on them, whereas, our halters teach the horse to yield to their own pressure.
Our halters are made from one continuous piece of double-braided rope that is tied using the double overhand knot
or what is commonly known as "the Blood Knot". These simple knots are strategically placed over nerves on the horses face,
and it only takes a small amount of pressure before the horse feels it and responds. This creates a very open line of
communication between the handler and the horse. The halters are finished off with a Fiador Knot between the chin and
the lead rope loops.

Here at Knot-Heads we prefer a soft, 5/16's double-braided nylon rope for our halters, but we also will use a soft poly rope if requested. We make all sizes from weanling
to draft, and if requested we will custom make your halter for a perfect and natural fit for your equine!.
All you need to do is take a piece of string and place it around your horses nose just below the cheekbones. Note
the measurement in inches or centimeters and add it to your order form. Our halters are hand-tied on an individual
order basis for a personal touch.
